A Moscow resident, an Associate Professor of the Department of Philosophy at Bauman Moscow State Technical University, and a ballot commission member with casting vote, was searched on September 3rd, 2024 in a case of incitement to hatred. He was subsequently interrogated and released as a witness. However, on September 5th, it was revealed that Nesterenko had become a suspect in the case due to the publication of five Ukrainian songs on VKontakte, leading to his arrest on September 7th.
