On June 1, 2023, he was taken from his home and brought to the Zyablikovo District police department, where he was detained and demanded to sign a confession admitting to posting anti-war content, but was released without an official report being filed. On June 8, at 6 a.m. the law enforcers broke into Gayevsky's home to search the premises, forced him to the floor, took away his equipment and again took him back to the Zyablikovo police department, where they again detained him for about five hours, forcing him to sign a confession. Later that day, the court imposed a fine on him under the article on disobedience to a police officer (Article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offences). In March 2024, it became known that a case was brought against Gayevsky for spreading military "fake news." On June 7, 2024, the court ordered Gayevsky to undergo compulsory treatment.
